DesHealth

DesHealth
The sustainable transition of healthcare systems is critical for both human and planetary health, with over 70% of the sector’s emissions arising from goods and services. DesHealth unites a cross-sector partnership to address these challenges by developing interdisciplinary training tools that focus on sustainable design and management.
Using systems-thinking methods, the project offers a blended Training Program centered on sustainable design, sustainability management, and Systemic Design, alongside an Intensive Training Course that allows students to tackle small-scale projects in an interdisciplinary environment. This hands-on experience fosters collaboration and innovation, equipping participants with practical skills.
Key goals of DesHealth include:
- Addressing the global shortage of interdisciplinary training tools for sustainable healthcare.
- Bridging knowledge gaps among health stakeholders through cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Providing students and young professionals with the skills needed to support the sustainable transition of the EU healthcare sector.
By overcoming barriers such as unclear environmental responsibilities and weak regulatory frameworks, DesHealth empowers the next generation of professionals to drive sustainability in healthcare.
